Navroze Godrej attended the Cathedral and John Connon School in Mumbai. Subsequently he joined Philips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts, USA, and graduated in 2001. He then joined Boston College in Boston, USA and graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication and French. He is currently pursuing a Master of Design at the Institute of Design, Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago.
Navroze joined the Company in October, 2005 as Manager, Special Projects, and has since focused on new product development and marketing and communications. His early projects include Godrej’s “Brighter Living” rebranding initiative and the re-design of the retail experience at sixty home furniture showrooms across India. In 2007, Navroze started to work on the company’s Disruptive Innovation initiatives, including chotuKool, a refrigerator intended for rural Indian markets.
Navroze has been actively involved at Godrej in the journey of Disruptive Innovation, and sees innovation as the key factor for survival and success. Navroze believes that the innovation process can be used for unlocking large untapped markets, foster inclusive growth and bring about a change of work culture in such a way that people feel inspired to do something new and different, everyday. This is closely linked to Godrej’s promise of Brighter Living and re-affirms Godrej’s commitment to the community at large and of delivering products and services of greater utility and value.
